The Chives Window Space is an alternative gallery space viewed outside on the sidewalk, located next to the entrance of Chives Canadian Bistro at 1537 Barrington Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, accessible 24/7 year-round. The Chives Window Space provides public exhibition opportunities for artists and offers viewers a free and leisurely way to enjoy art. Artwork of all disciplines transform the Chives Window Space on six week rotations, interrupting the busy downtown facades with stop-and-stare art installations.
The Chives Window Space has been under new management since the fall of 2015. Currently it is organized and operated by curator Kate Grey and photographer Frankie Macaulay.
